Moviefy is a streaming guide, a media tracker, and a recommendation platform — but each of those words is doing more work than it sounds like.

As a streaming guide: Moviefy answers "where can I watch X?" for 30 commercial markets with country-specific provider data refreshed every six hours. Whether you're in the US, UK, Brazil, Japan, or India, the answers we surface match the catalog actually available locally — not the US catalog with a wishful caveat.

As a media tracker: Moviefy logs watch history, ratings, and lists across eight media types in one account — movies, TV, anime, manga, books, board games, video games, and live. Most competitors specialize in one of these; we unify them so you don't have five accounts.

As a recommendation platform: "More like X" lives at /similar/{type}/{id}, "best of the {decade}" lives at /discover/best-of/decade/{decade}, country guides at /watch-in/{country} — discovery surfaces tuned for the search intent, not just our internal taxonomy.

The streaming catalog fragmented in the late 2010s. By 2026 a typical viewer juggles four to six services and still misses titles that exist somewhere else. Existing answers — JustWatch, Reelgood — focus on the US; IMDB and Letterboxd are great trackers but don't tell you where to watch; everyone shows you the catalog they have data for, not the catalog you actually have access to where you live.

We built Moviefy to make that gap small. Country-segmented data, native-language hubs for the 30 markets we operate in, and a Premium tier that just shows you the title in-app from nine source mirrors when you're tired of the bounce-around. Plus tracking across the eight media types we know our users care about — because nobody only watches TV.

Data sources: Title metadata, cast, posters, and ratings come from The Movie Database (TMDB) under license. We don't store user video content — streaming sources are referenced via TMDB watch-providers and inline mirror integrations.
